just wondering the Does the lock on the latch on the floor lock the gas cover? or does it just lock the trunk?
I want to make it lock my gas cover. Don't ask me why, I just do!

No, it only locks the trunk, not the fuel door release.

If you read what i type it clearly identifies that i know it locks just the trunk, but wasn't too sure if it was supposed to lock the fueldoor, that's why i asked... cause if it did i'm calling the dealership's salesperson in the middle of the night when he's sleeping...wake his *** up and get them to fix it ....i love my dealership

no, you ask whether or not it DOES lock the gas door, not whether it is SUPPOSED to. easily could have found out for yourself.....

to me your first post sounds like you are trying to mo dyour car to do something it does stock anyways, like its some sort of big unique deal, some great original mod.

Im sorry that it did not transmit the message you had originally intended, but thats what you were asking.

do you have a 2k2? maybe they made the 2k2 different than the 2k1? the reason they made it lock both on the 2k1 was so the valet couldnt open teh trunk to steal, nor open teh gas tank to sugar it.

seems foolish honda would take that feature out, unless its not so clear that the lock only locks the trunk, not the gas door......

i think honda makes a poor locking mechanism, cause i just checked my lock, and its finicky now. used to lock both, now i have to keep it in position. sometimes works, sometimes doesnt. we should probably go in to get it warranteed.
