i dont know what it is but my air conditioner makes a weird loud whisteling noise sometimes..can anyone tell me what this is

I have the same problem. It happens when the fan comes on. A loud whistling fan. I took it to the dealership and of course nothing happened. So they thought I was on crack!! I think it is real annoying.

I swear for the longest time I thought I was hearing things. kinda sounds like the creatures on that movie Pitch Black.

man i thouht i was trippin too. mine started doin a couple weks ago. my dealer said it was nothin. i hadn't noticed it cuz i roll with the windows down but one day i was parked and heard a funny noise. anyone have any idea what it is?

It might be the belts that are wearing out? Otherwise, it could be the A/C compressor. Either way, it's a warranty issue...take it to the dealer and demand that it be fixed.

you see if you dont fix the belt it could lead to further damage

BASIC MAINTANCE is so important i run a 60 shot and check my engine like twice a week the only thing that ever happen in a year of shooting is my piston rings BARELY melted and i replaced them

does it sound like an air leak? like "ssssssssssssssssssssssssssss" kinda a hiss?

if so i have this problem and i haaaaaaaaate it!! when i took my car to the dealership to get the vibrating fixed (another thread) they said the vibtating that was caused when i hit a large puddle of water was caused by the B exhaust pipe...and so was the "sssssssss" noise...they got under the car and when it made this noise they held the pipe and it quit......so i dunno

however i have an aftermarket exhaust so of course they wont fix it for free!!!!!! GRRRRRRRRRRRRR

my whisling sound comes from the driver side right where the shocks are. at first i thought maybe it was cuz of the skunk2 coilover that i put on, but then i noticed that it only happened when the a/c was on. i just went in for my 20k maintenence today and they aid they checked everything and it was ok. cost me a bill 20 so i gues i should go have them take another look.

if you ever take the car into the dealer for warranty work, get the bloody thing back to stock are you ain't gunna get shiat fixed for free...trust me...

Mine's been making that noise ever since I got the car. It only does when I turn on the AC for the 1st time after starting the car. It's nothing really, just the air flow I think.

yep had the same poblem and when i hit the gas it got even worst it almost sounded like a weak turbo but it just kinda went away and i did get a 10,000 mile service from honda done on my car and i havent had that problem anymore

i believe ytou have a leak in one of the vacuum tubes, you gotta go in for one of those ultraviolet light tests....

its a whisteling noise whenever the fan comes on with the ac..i guess ill just go to the dealer...
