Engine vibration when idle

My car vibrates excessively when idle. Specially when the rpms drop like when I turn on the AC. I have a SRI, HP race headers, high flow cat & magna flow cat-back. Can any of these mods be creating the problem? Can it be a balance isssue since the header weighs more than the stock manifold?

I have the same mods as you do and i dont believe they would cause the problem unless they were installed wrong...take it to the dealership if all else fails...as for the balance issue...it shouldnt be an issue at all the header should be bolted down and wouldnt cause the vibs when idle...

I believe this is the A/C kicking in...but also check for a clogged air filter...you might want to try a fuel injector cleaner, depending on your accumulated mileage.

it could be the catback hitting your rear bumper. . . does it get louder when you turn on the a/c?

It may be the air/fuel ratio not mixing correctly. A friend of mine had the same problem in his civic and the apexi air/fuel controller solved that problem.

Then again it may be other htings also. *shrug*

I have an AEM cai, pulleys, DC header, and cat back. I also had the same problem with a rough idle.
My car eventually stalled out every time I stopped at a light. I took my car to my mechanic and he raised the idle slightly and that solved the problem. I think it does have something to do with the air/fuel ratio. But after he raised the idle no more problems.
