just bought 3157's but dont fit

just bought 3157's but dont fit

i read earlier that the 3157's fit for the front turn signals for the 01 civic
even the dude at the store said it would fit
but the situation is
i went home, and tried to hook it up
but it wouldnt fit
theres the black thing in the way
how do i make these work?
or should i just go get 7443s?

HAHAHA...7443 or 7440 are for the front...the ones you have are for the tails...and 3156..

wtf dude. why not just buy the right bulb. first you take out the old bulb and look on the glass where it says "3156" then, brain assimilates the information................ ............ ... .. then you drive your happy self down to pep boys and buy the 3156 or whatever size bulb.

and dont ever ask they guys at the store about bulbs, they have no clue, really, and neither does the "electronic bulb chart" thats in the stores.
