Need HELP removing gas pedal asap!!

ive searched, but apparently no one else seemed to have a problem with this. i must be a retard. lol i actually couldnt believe it myself, but i cant do it!! i dont know if its possible or not, but heres the situation.

got my pedal "covers" today (the Rally Ergal ones) and i put on the clutch and the break pedals, but the gas pedal doesnt seem to want to fit right. i had to remove the rubber part off the stock clutch/break pedals...the gas pedal is plastic and it seems like its screwed onto the shaft with some screw from the middle side. i cant see behind there, so i dont know what kind of screw it is, i can just see the thread of a bolt/screw coming out the other side. ive tried a phillips, but it doesnt seem to fit. so i want to know if anyone has done this? i dont want to remove the whole pedal, that just seems extreme to put some covers on.

but i need help real fast cause im riding ghetto style with just the clutch and the break pedals looking good.

are they just covers that have clamps that squeeze in on the back. i have the ones that have screwes that go through the center i had to drill hole in the pedals, as for the gas pedal i drilled straight through it, its soft plastic, and then had to get some longer screws for them to fit, mine are momo.

yeah, they clamp behind. i wouldnt mind just drilling a hole in the gas pedal, that would hold the cover in place, but the stock plastic will show through holes in my cover. kinda looks not so good. might have to deal tho, if the stock plastic dont come off.
but someone, please tell me that it comes off!!!!!

nevermind on that.

i installed the pedal this morning. lets just say i found a creative solution to my dilemma. (lots-o drilling!!)

this can be locked if no one else actually knows if the pedal is detachable...for future inquiries by others.

because the bracket that came with the pedals didnt fit over the standard OEM gas pedal. I was thinking of taking it off, but couldnt figure out how. no one seemed to know either. so rather than driving around ghetto style i drilled a hole in the plastic pedal and attached the aluminum cover like that. it looks sweet now!!
