Need help identifying 2005 Civic OEM strut assembly part numbers or Manufacturer

Hello everyone,

I know I'm asking about an old car, but I'm in need of replacement struts, springs, etc. all around. I want to stay with OEM since my 2005 is still on the OEM set with 216,300 miles and It's lasted me this long. Plus, I want to save on the hassle of any other adjustments as I don't care for a custom ride/feel. Just want to restore to factory specs. I have a 2005 Civic LX Special Edition sedan. Canada built. No ABS. Auto transmission. I can post VIN if needed and I'm located in the US.

I need front and rear. I've found front OEM strut assemblies from the dealer for left and right, but a hefty price tag. I'll shop around, but also interested in the correct MFG that makes OEM strut assemblies so I can shop around to save some money. 51601-S5A-C63 for Front Right and 51602-S5A-C63 for Front Left.

Rears are my issue. I can't find the most current OEM part number being available, but getting multiple options and not sure which is correct.

52610-S5D-C52 for the Right Rear and 52620-S5D-C52 Left Rear, but I've also found: the same with "A" revisions, such as 52610-S5D-A52 and 52620-S5D-A52. Don't know the difference with C and A, but would also like to know who the rear OEM MFG is so I can price compare.

Also, if I find an OEM strut assembly with a prior revision (so, say, A35) what is the risk if correct part, but just older revision?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the reply. Is that also for 2005? I’ve read that ASI/Showa was for 2005 and there was some change from 01-02 to the 03-05.

Just want to be as close to OE as possible.

Thanks.

Thanks. I confirmed with the dealer that the "C52" parts are what I need for the rear. They are discontinued, but I found a new OEM and used on ebay. Not sure if I want a mismatch (new and old; or new OEM one side and different brand other side. I'd rather keep it the same). I did look up and found KYB front full assemblies, but only the struts themselves for the rears.

New question. My thinking was to replace using a full kit due to not wanting to compress the springs, but if I have to I will. I just don't know if my springs or other related parts also need to be replaced as why I was leaning toward the full strut assembly. Is there any need to replace anything other than the struts themselves?

I did find NAPA has rear assemblies, so that's an option.

Thanks.

top hats tend to go away in no time after suspension changes if they have been there for too long. Sway bar links also same.
Have car checked if no more parts need replacement before you disassemble
