Battery issues?
Battery issues?
Hi all! I have a 2019 Civic EX that has 43k miles and is having an issue staying charged. It seems if I go out of town for 5 days or more, when I come back my car is completely dead. I have to jump start it and then drive it around for a bit, then when used every day it’s fine. It’s only after sitting idle for 5 days or more. The dealership I bought it from says this is normal behavior, and I should buy a battery tender for it. Is this “normal behavior”? I’m not sure I buy that as a solution. I’ve never owned a Honda that does this.
Any thoughts?

Re: Battery issues?
Is it the original battery?
there's probably some sort parasitic draw, they can be tricky to find. Lots of good videos on youtube

Re: Battery issues?
No, I purchased a new battery in Dec when this happened the first time. This is the 3rd time now. The dealership says they tested for a parasitic draw when I took it to them after the 2nd time. They ended up blaming “loose battery cables”
