Lower ball joints without alignment [solved]
Lower ball joints without alignment [solved]
I have a 2005 Civic and need to replace the lower ball joints, I have found/read the ball joint service TSB and determined the vehicle has the factory ball joints and not the oversized ones. My question is if I do not remove the strut from the knuckle will I need a alignment? It will be more difficult I realize but would save $140 since the alignment is currently good.
These are the sets I own for replacing the ball joints, if for some reason they wont work please let me know what I should get instead.

re: Lower ball joints without alignment [solved]
Update, no problem with replacing the lower ball joints with removing the knuckle and strut as one assembly. It is heavier then I anticipated but not that bad, for pressing out the old and pressing in the new ball joints this kit was perfect but I did have to cut the old ball joint bolt portion off so the tool would fit.
