ENGINE WARRANTY??

I have 21000 miles on my 2001 honda civicv ex. Today the engine light turned on and it was also struggling when i accelerate so I took it to the honda dealer immediately. Im wondering how much mileage does the warranty cover? My civic is completely stock and nothing was modified to it. WIll they also provide me with free car rental? Thanks.

When I bought my car they gave me a warranty for the whole 60 months that i am financing it for. Every new car that I know of has a warranty. I f**ked up my torque converter and they replaced it at no charge. Honestly, you should have nothing to worry about and yes they will provide you with a rental car.

Man, relax, the engine light turn on automaticaly when you reach the normal mileage for the first check up. You can go to the dealer to turn the light off.

bakman, actually i noticed a difference in performance, not slightly but huge difference. It is having problems accelerating from 0mph-60mph. it strangely kicks into 2second gear when it is on 4000rpms. usually clutch kicks in around 2500rpms. They said when this engine light indicator is on according to manual, there is something wrong with emissions in the engine (or gas cap is loose - which it isn't) and they said to have the dealer check on it.

Hondas have a standard 5 year (60 months) / 60K miles powertrain warranty.

You should notice a change in performance because of the check engine light. It is on a "limp home" mode and thus changes air/fuel gear switching points and other stuff its fine and there is a 3 year 36,000 mile warranty on the whole car, and a 5 year 60,000 mile warranty on the powertrain so you are covered.

Do you have 2100 or 21000 miles on your car?

No they most likely won't. Depends on the dealership though.
