Some tech ?'s
Some tech ?'s
Hey everyone, pretty new here. I have a few questions for some tech/appearance related mod's I'm planning. First of all, I ordered a SRI and was just wondering how hard these are to install? Secondly, I'm planning on purchasing a stock rear spoiler. This spolier is at a good price but comes unpainted. I was wondering if any of you have purchased one of these and had one professionally finished/installed at a shop and if so how much did it run? And lastly, i bought an altezza style grill for the car. Is the switch from the stock grill to this one a difficult job?? Thanks a lot. By the way its a 2002 EX sedan. -brian

The intake is probably the easiest. IT comes with instructions so you'll be fine. Removing the original intake box requires you to only remove the bolts(i think with a 10 mm, not sure) and the o2 sensor. The grill is not that hard to install either. I did that just by myself. Just remember to put some boxes or something to hold up the bumper when you remove it. I didn't use a jack so it was kinda hard. Some of the tabs under the car bumper where scratched away makin it hard to remove. HOpe that helps a bit.

I have an ex sedan as well.
The intake is very easy to install. The removal of the stock air box is a tiny pain but not much. You just remove the bolts and pull her out.
I bought a replica of the oem spoiler from Spoiler Depot for 224.95. That was painted and shipped! I installed it myself.
I just switched to the altezza style grill a few weeks ago. You can remove the bumper or just take out the bottom screws and tabs and push the bottom of the bumper forward as you reach up to the top grill. The painted part of the grill just screws to the back piece where the hood lock is in the engine compartment. Nothing to it.
