on visual inspecton the rubber appears to be very dried out/old. the car is a 2003. can't find any record of the mounts ever being changed. it's had other work over the years, but nothing in paperwork i can find says anything about engine mounts being replaced.
great running car otherwise. just a few issues to take care of, can't really complain, it's a 20 year old car.
Re: 2003 civic coupe vibration when a/c on..and in reverse
There are 2 parts of that passenger side motor mount, and that's usually the culprit. The gell/liquid filled mount (#6 on the drawing below) and the dogbone (#9 on the drawing below)
My friend had the same exact issue in her 2008 -- terrible vibration, particularly in reverse. Felt like the engine was going to vibrate itself onto the pavement. I replaced both the dogbone and the gel filled motor mount with Beck/Arnley mounts I got from Rock Auto and it's been solid ever since
moving to proper section and you question outta the 7th gen cars section.
2008 and 2003 engines are completely different animals, you are going to get wrong answers in that section.
