Hybrid Engine/IMA battery systemThe hybrid have a very different engine and Battery system (IMA), so this forum is for items related to the Hybrid cars alone.
If they are same as the regular cars, please post there instead.
Took my 2004 Honda Civic hybrid battery out to test it because my battery light was on and so is my ima light. Took it apart and noticed this red wire was sniped. Does anyone have a clue what this wire is used for and if so is this my issue. It text fine and seems like it’s a working battery
oh, you still having issues to see the pictures? The one i posted shows the same wiring, but connected
For whatever reason I cannot see your pictures. However, I could tell you posted one and looked on my phone. The hacked wiring though was before I saw your picture.
I've read elsewhere that cutting this wire was one of the "fixes" Honda did when the first gen batteries started dropping like flies and the high failure rates were going to cause regulatory issues in states like CA.
