d16z6 block Y8 head
d16z6 block Y8 head
I have a d16z6 block with y8 head and put another d16z6 intake on it and used the d16z6 intake manifold gasket and now started pushing coolant in oil and out overflow. Please help. Checked oil before starting and perfectly clean and instant after swap milky. Sutt off and wondering what to do, could something be hooked up wrong,
thanks

Re: d16z6 block Y8 head
If it didn't have a coolant issue prior to the swap then something went wrong with the install. Either an intake leak or blown head gasket or cracked block/ cylinder wall would cause that amount of coolant in oil.
Obviously, don't drive it in this condition as that mix can quickly damage the engine internals.
Need to make sure the mating surface of the head and intake manifold are very clean and flat (no old gasket stuck on) and buy a new Honda genuine gasket.
