I have a 2013 Honda Civic with roughly 75k miles on the clock. I just got back from the dealer and I was told that I have a belt tensioner leaking.
The dealer could not point out the exact leak and I was hesitant to spend $800 on a repair where I cannot see the damage. Is there an easy way for me to see the leak ?
If there truly is a leak, can that result in any long term major damage to the engine ?

don't know, did the dealer show you the leak? All I can see from here is your words...
I suppose they are talking about the timing chain? 2013 don't have a belt, it have a chain. Other belts are not likely to have a tensioner that would leak.
If there is a leak... well, can you survive long without blood if it leaks?
General 8th&9th gen section is for car generation general items. You have a mechanical issue, so moved to that section.
take a pic of the leak or take car to another mechanic for a 2nd opinion, not enough information to judge
