Automatic Trans Codes in a Manual Swapped Car
Automatic Trans Codes in a Manual Swapped Car
Hello all!
I have a 2000 Civic ex coupe that has been manual swapped at some point in its life and I have a couple codes stored in the computer that I don’t know how to fix. The codes are P1768 (torque converter clutch solenoid valve b circuit) and P1706 (neutral safety switch).
Given I no longer have an auto trans, is there a way to fool the computer into thinking these parts are in working order?

Re: Automatic Trans Codes in a Manual Swapped Car
For the sake of maybe $100, just get one. You open yourself up to a lot more potential issues trying to fool ECU's like that. You can get one from the junkyard for probably half that. They're roughly $40 CAD where I am. Probably even cheaper on classifieds.

Its possible but not worth the time, effort or money. Manual ecu would be cheaper.
youd probably have to buy a digital signal simulator, and know the signals given to the ecu, then create a map of the expected signal regarding, gear, rpm and load. Similar to creating a custom map for tuning.
