I just bought a 2000 Civic EX 5MT. Its bone stock with 225k miles. The motor and exhaust sound great real strong. But when I went for the first drive and I hit second gear it sounded like when someone puts a stick or a card in bike spokes. It gets louder and faster as rpms go up but goes away completely when I push the clutch in. It doesn't do it while decelerating and it is worst in 2nd and 3rd gear goes away in 4th and 5th. Its not 100% either sometimes I can get through 2nd without a sound and sometimes it's there off the line. I do have a slight whirling sound in natural when I let of the clutch guessing throw out but this sounds different. Thinking maybe Main/ Input shaft bearing but wanna be sure cause im fixing myself.
