Blow off valve

I'm thinking about installing a blow off valve on my 2018 civic hatchback. Has anyone done this yet? How was the install process? It doesn't look like there is a ton of room under the hood for aftermarket parts. Was it worth it with a turbo this small?

Re: Blow off valve

Don't do it. The air that goes through the air bypass valve is metered air. Venting it off to atmosphere will mess with fuel trims and thus, performance.

There's a BOV plate from booba racing that sold well because people wanted the "PSSSSH!" sound (admittedly, I wanted one, too, until I researched it). People ended up taking it off and can't sell it for squat now.

hmm..... ok that's good to know. I know It'll wear down the cats faster than stock but I'm planning on having them removed and get it retuned anyway

Re: Blow off valve

so far, looks like the ktuner for our cars is the way to go. Hondata has more of a reputation in the Honda world, but the ktuner seems to be putting out better results with more features for a far lower price.

Hondata: $650
KTuner V1: $450
Ktuner V2: $650, includes 7" touchscreen console so you don't need a laptop to tune. Also doubles as extra gauges.
