Having A Problem W/the Pressure Pipe Befor The Blow Off Valve Popping Off.

MY TURBO INSTALL HAS BEEN COMPLETE. IM IN THE STREET TUNING PHASE ,BUT MY PIPE BEFORE THE BLOW OFF VALVE KEEPS COMING OFF DURING BOOST. I HAVE TRIED CLAMPING OVER AND OVER, NOTHING. I GET A FEW RUNS AND GET A HESITATION AND THE PIPE POPS OFF. IS THERE SOMETHING I SHOULD BE LOOKING FOR. I BOUGHT SOME T-CLAMPS AND SOME SILICONE HOSES AND IM GOING TO DOUBLE CLAMP THE AREA AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS ALSO GOING TO RUFF UP THE CONNECTING AREAS OF THE PIPE WITH SAND PAPER FOR BITTING INTO THE SILICONE.

IF ANY ONE HAS ANY IDEAS ,LET ME KNOW THANKS.

I ALSO WANT TO THANK EVERY ONE THAT HAS HELPED ME ALONG DURING THE TURBO INSTALL . THANK YOU...

Worst comes to worst will it be a pain to weld that trouble spot or just get a new pipe that does not need a coupler there?

Is there a bead on the ends of the tubing? You should not have any of these problems with only 6# of boost.
Just clean them both well and it should be fine. If there is no beads rolled on the ends of the tubing or weld beads you can take a pair of vise grips and make the ends flare out a tiny bit.

get a smaller connecting hose. then use the Tclamps. also the bead statement is good. some pipes come with a circular lip around the end of the pipe for just these issues. if u dont have a lip...try flaring out the end of the pipe. gots to do something to create some resistance on the end of the pipe

thank you all for the help, I purchased some t-clamps and funny to say,but used hair spray. thanks for the tip. also purchased a new elbow for that connection. and all seems to fit very well.drove it today trying to get it tuned up alittle. found to have misfire problems while under boost.
used the non-fouler connectors to remove the ck engine light for the cat. converter codes . fixed the intake leak, for that ck engine light code. know i have misfire codes in all four cylinders. if any one has ideas let me know .again thanks for the help on my piping problem.

i have misfire codes on my car also. its very very random the CEL will turn on and off by itself. it could be a bad tank of gas. you are using the highest octane available correct? in the vegas area we only have 91. it could also be your spark plugs. i forgot what plugs i am running but they are ngk #7 heat rating, that is what a lot of my boosted friends and shops have been recomending me. i say try some octane booster or check the plugs. if that continues, retard ignition timing.

He can't retard the timing bc he has that TSI fuel system setup. Your best bet is colder plugs and a conservative tune running the highest pump gas you can get in your area. I get misfires too on all cylinders but I have an n/a cam. I only get it at idle but I'm going to try PCS to see if it can tune the idle better than emanage.

The first thing that I thought was weather or not your blow off valve is opening, or if it's not opening enough. Because concievelbly there should be no air pressure left inside of the piping as you shift. It would vent atmospherically. If you're blowing pipes off, that means you're retaining air pressure which in my mind could only mean two things: The BOV isn't opening/opening up enough, or your wastegate isin't opening soon enough. With a wastegate that is still allowing the compressor side to spin, results in Higher then desired PSI. Do you have a boost gauge? When you blow a pipe apart, what is it reading?

My brother does the whole hairspray deal on his truck which runs up to 35 psi so I think that will do the trick.
