Question Bad Tach - Need Speedo repair shop

My brother-in-law gave me his 2004 Civic LX sedan with 203k miles. I would be owner #3. It's been taken to the dealership at each inspection and has been taken care of.

However, it suffers from the jumping tach that I have seen posted a few times after doing a search or two on here. When the key is in, it jumps to 5k without the motor running. I've had it for a week and it's now almost reading normal (still 500-1k over normal).

Doing the cluster test shows the tach going full range then back. But when it hits the stop on the way back, it clicks really fast.

Does anyone know of any decent places/shops I can bring it to to fix it? Specifically in central Jersey.

They will try to sell a whole new cluster, or send it to a speedo shop.

Get a used cluster from a salvage yard? Probably cheapest bet.

Call a speedo shop and ask if they can fix the bad stepper motor for the tach.
At work we send them to Palo Alto Speedometer paspeedo.com

I'll probably end up doing that. Just have to find a way to locate a junker and test it out.

I live in NJ so that's a bit of a distance. However, I did find some in NJ.

This one claims to be a mobile "on-wheels" type. They come to you. Don't know if they have a distance limit or include the distance in their quote. Have to look around for reviews.

Asap Speedometer Repair

Then there's this one. It's closer to where I live. But not by much. It does look like they only work on certain models.
Eastern Electronics SVC

[UPDATE]
Looks like ASAP Speedometer is all over the US. Time to look into them more.
