HELP!!! 1993 civic lights dimmed/no power

okay here we go, i have a 1993 honda civic LX 1.5L, i have replaced the alternator 4 times now (all free under warrantee, thank god), and i just got a new battery today but my problem is still there, sorta. About 3 days ago my car lights and everything in the dash went really dim and then all of a sudden when i pressed the brakes the radio went out, the day after the same thing happened AND the speedometer went out along with my check engine light going on. I jumped my car and charged my battery which made the CEL go away, but the battery still died after about 10 mins. so i went out and got a new battery today and put that in but all the lights in the dash are still really dim along with my headlights, and there is no change if i rev the engine or have it idling. I also (i don't know if this means anything, but...) checked the oms with the battery disconnected, and it showed up off the dial on my voltmeter. any clue what could be happening? I really can't afford to bring my car to a mechanic to get it fixed as I'm a student trying to pay bills by delivering pizzas with this car... so I'm hoping its nothing too hard to fix, thanks

Check your cables. You could have a bad ground. You could have a short somewhere.

I've checked the ground cable and it looks like its on there pretty good, maybe I'm not seeing something because the negative ground cable is about 4-5 inches long and its bolted onto the inside of my car. however the bolt on it looks really rusted so maybe that means something?

Check the alternator that sounds like your car isn't charging your battery. So your car is running off of the battery and not the alternator
