And whats a safe milage.to purchase? Just need some advice from more advanced owners. I want a nice car to get from point a to point b.

Re: newbie needs advice

Try to find a single owner car from a private party. It's difficult but when shady dealers get them you don't know has been to it and how many people had it before then.

Price is really going to depend on condition, area and mileage. Are you a DIYer? If you are then a higher mileage one will be good way to get it cheaper and just do the work yourself.

if thats the case i would not recommend buying such an old car, you will be dishing out alot of money on maintanance and repairs, might as well put that money toward a newer car

Run a Carfax report on the VINs of any cars you are interested in? I haven't looked into it in a few years, but used to be you could get unlimited reports for $24.99 a month.
