looking to upgrade struts

i have a 02 lx 2dr civic that has the stock struts on it, i noticed a few days ago the struts are beginning to have a slight hint that they are leaking. i would like t replace them but im having problems deciding what would be best for me.
id like to get new struts all around, id like to keep it no more than 900 bucks, i live in a city that has some horrible potholes and the roads are not that smooth of a ride, so i don't think a kit that lowers it will really help me too much.

can you give me some advise on what would be best, i was looking at koni shocks not too sure though.

Re: looking to upgrade struts

If you don't plan on lowering the car, just go with stock.

But its not that hard to drive a lowered car with bad roads. You just learn to drive slow, and avoid the worst of them. And a good suspension setup will absorb the bumps as good as any stock system.

I'd highly suggest Koni Yellows paired with Ground Control coilover sleeves. One of the best and most comfortable setups. Will run about $800 or so for both. They are both height and damping (stiffness) adjustable. Lifetime warranty on both products.

OEM FTW if your not lowering.. Tons of options, if you are.

Re: looking to upgrade struts

Also consider tokico blues as an oem replacement. They are a better option than oem IMO. They aren't as bouncy as oem and are still plenty soft with oem springs
