Hi,

although I manage to understand most of this stuff, I still don't get the offset thing ?!.

but eventually I want to make my car like this:

Can I know the rims in the second image in the second link, what offset is it, low or high.

What is the maximum width size that can fit this type of car, I have same type of car.

Q: What does "offset" mean?
A: The offset of a wheel is the distance from its hub-mounting surface to the centerline of the wheel.


The offset can be one of three types:

Positive Offset: The hub-mounting surface is toward the curbside of the centerline. Positive offset wheels are generally found on front-wheel drive vehicles and some newer rear drive cars.



Zero Offset: The hub-mounting surface is even with the centerline of the wheel.



Negative Offset: The hub-mounting surface is closer to the back or brake side of the wheel%u2019s centerline. Wheels that have a deep-dish look are generally negative offset.



An incorrect offset can cause increased stress on wheel bearings and suspension components, and cause rubbing and handling problems.
