dd suspension help for 05 ex coupe
i need a suspension set up for my wifes civic right now it has some really cheap ebay ones and im not looking to slam it or anything. SO i've read some posts about rsx suspension bolting right up and that it drops it 1" but i've also read that theres issues with it. i've looked for a good oem one but nope most have alot of miles so what options can you guys advise?
Re: dd suspension help for 05 ex coupe
just to put this out there we plan on having it for about 3-5 years at most and so the pro c's and konis are out the question its just going to be used to drive to work 10 miles a day and maybe a highway trip so i dont need a race suspension i'll save that for both of mine

the RSX suspension has higher spring rates and is accomidated for a heavier car. so it wont drop.
you best bet is to use tokico blues and some sort of lowering spring with a lower spring rate like H&R or some eibach prokits... the softest/most comfortable springs you will find are the TEIN H.techs. they are made specifically to ride smooth like a luxury vehicle while still dropping you about 1" all round.

but with the rsx suspension rates being higher it will ride like a luxury car wouldnt it? and where did you find the htech i only found stechs? so then theres basically no suspension set up for about 4-500 bucks then?

Spring rates higher = harder, stiffer ride.
You can find H.Techs just as easily as S.Techs
http://www.autoanything.com/suspensi...wering-springs
(With 15% off code, $153 shipped to your door)
With that little of a drop, you shouldn't absolutely need to replace shocks.
But it is recommended.

IF the rates are adequate to car weight and shocks are well matched to control the spring rates, you might be able to obtain close to that, but prolly you will need to have custom coils made, maybe from eibach and prior to hat to calculate rates depending on shocks/car weight/dynamics, etc, etc. It can be approached, tho but a lot of work required.
