Could be bad tires, out of alignment or wheels need to be balanced. Check and see if the lugs are tight also. You could have broken lug bolts as well.

Re: shimmy and steering wheel wobble at 70+ mph

are you one aftermarket rims?

they might be lug centric, meaning the wheel is bolted on and flush but it isn't exactley dead center or hub centric.

you can buy hub centric rings to fix the problem.

here's a link to more info. http://www.8thcivic.com/forums/wheel...ric-rings.html

Soo sorry for no update but after a few days of working on the dx i finally found my problem. stupid idiot i bought the car from wrecked it and covered up all the damage. but thats another issue all together. the struts were shot to **** because they cut the springs on stock struts. after updating those to coilovers i got new lower control arms in the rear because i needed them and theyre on their way now new control arm bushings done up front new cv axles as well as motor mounts and clutch. then i come to find out my power steering has been removed so i have some work ahead of me

Covering up information regarding an accident when selling a vehicle is illegal (depending on your state). I would definitely confront him about it. Sorry to hear about all that. If you're going through all that mess, why not find a used vtec d16 motor? They're like $200 tops. You'll be practically taking out the motor to replace the motor mounts, and the transmission to replace the clutch. Might as well toss that DX motor.

Re: shimmy and steering wheel wobble at 70+ mph

it turns out that the car did indeed not come with power steering but they swapped in a motor that had power steering on it -_- so that issue is fixed. but now i have a funky idle issue where when the vehicle is warmed up when i come to a stop the car will increase idle about 100rpms or so and when i start moving again itll drop any thoughts?

Re: shimmy and steering wheel wobble at 70+ mph

Run some seafoam through it and clean your MAF.

Sorry to hear about the BS that guy gave you. I had a shimy in my DX when I first got it but it was just an alignment problem. I swapped in a B16a, and deleted the P/S. Unfortunately I paid for it in the end. It wore out the P/S Steering Rack and Pinion and I replaced it with a Manual NON Power Rack and Pinion. Works great now.
