ATTN: People with '04-'05 EM/ES Retrofits
Hello all, I've been searching but there doesn't seem to be lots of information online about '04-'05 retrofits, '01-'03... seems to be all anyone has.
I have an '05 EX and I have just recently purchased the Mini h1 kit from TRS. I find that a lot of ppl that have done retrofits commonly used these stainless steel coffee mug rings to get the fitment right on the shrouds.
My question is this: where do I get these coffee mugs with the removable stainless steel ring at the top? I have searched Google, Amazon, eBay, even have gone to Target, Walmart, etc. looking for these specific coffee mugs with the stainless steel ring at the top that I can use.
If there is someone out there that can send me a link or tell me the store that sells these special coffee mugs I would greatly appreciate it. Additionally, it would be great just to read up on more '04-'05 retrofits to gain knowledge on what problems I might run into.
EDIT: Don't worry, I am not one of those fly by night, ask a question on a forum, and never be seen again, type poster. I am working on a build thread as we speak so hopefully all will welcome me as I am fairly new to this forum.

So on my way home from Barnes & Nobles (lol another place I went to check for these coffee mugs with the stainless steel ring) bummed because they didn't have them there either, I stop for gas and go in to pay.. low and behold sitting on the counter like 2 winning lottery tickets staring me in the face were these:
Funny how that worked out. Hopefully a noob is currently scouring Google as I did with no luck and will find this thread on "where to find coffee mugs for a projector retrofit"... check you local gas station.

well the bottom side has this beveled end holding it to the plastic:
Guess the only way is to cut the plastic out carefully with a dremel and try not to damage the ring or deform it in any way. I'm not even doing the retrofit. My goal is to source all the needed parts for the guy at the speed shop to attempt his first retro
real nice guy, decades of tuner experience and has opened up headlights and all so I'm sure he'll be apt enough to figure it out.
Have I shown you this yet?
I went with the E-55R shrouds like the link you showed me. They'll need to be cut to fit the rings down in them but luckily the shrouds already have a grayed out area that perfectly outlines where it needs to be trimmed. Sourcing everything myself, hope I'm covering all my bases.

Literally got them in 3 days. They're in GA, I'm in NC at the moment so that's prolly why. Plus TRS had a Black Friday sale 25% off orders over $300. Came out to $232 shipped.
