Re: EK9 Horn
Oh, $600 or so for a good powerful 12 volt air compressor, a D.O.T. approved air tank, electric air valve, weatherized pressure switch and relay and the buell train horns. Long term investment! I got the hornblasters shocker 240 kit. The horns themselves are about $250
Re: EK9 Horn
Just google train horn kits or train horns for cars. The $600 kit has 4 horns but, you can get them as low as $300 w/2 horns. Usually they come with instructions but, there are all sorts of DIY's online.
In my opinion they are more like semi-truck horns but, the 4 and six horn setup are F'ing loud. They're the closest thing to an actual train horn you can get. Actual train horns are harder to find, usually have to be re-built, and more expensive. Go to one of the train horn forums to find out more.

Re: EK9 Horn
Ya Don't buy those 3-trumpet chrome horns! They don't compare to the 4-trumpet plastic train horns from Buell http://www.buellairhorns.com/auto-c-108.html
You can't get any closer to a real train horn than it! plastic tubes and stainless steel diaphragms, lifetime warranty. The bassiest horn you'll ever have.
If any of you guys ever decide to buy a system, be sure to watch lots of youtube videos and compare all the imitations with real train horns..
--No, nothing came from a junkyard , it all came as a kit with all the air lines, tank, Viair compressor (they are 1 of the best 12V compressor companies out there), horns, fittings, thread sealant, ear plugs, wire, etc. http://www.hornblasters.com/products...train-horn-kit
To start off your night of train horn watching...
Buell plastic train horns, called, "s4/HB4H/Hornblaster Shockers/Buell train horns" are the bassiest of the horns in this vid

Re: EK9 Horn
Heh, no they won't if you don't want them to! Not if the horns and everything are under the hood, especially if there are SUVs all around !!
