Horn Issue

Hello,

Just picked up a 2012 Honda Civic LX, and when i press the horn on the leftside and middle of the steering wheel the horn works. If i press to the right side of the wheel the horn does not function. I took it back to the dealer and they said as long as the horn works it passes safety and they are not liable to fix it.

Anyways, how can i pull the switch out to check it? I bet i would have to remove the negative connection, wait about 5 mins and then take off the two screws on the side of the steering wheel to access the switch, can anyone please confirm this?

Re: Horn Issue

Remove 2 Torx bolts (T-30) holding the air bag to the steering wheel.
Remove the bag from the wheel.

Then you can inspect.
