I just bought a 1999 Civic SI

It was originally Milano Red but the owner painted it Tango Red Pearl because he felt it would be more "elegant."

I don't like either colors myself, but it was a sweet deal. 102,000 miles on the clock, stock SI alloys, b16a2 engine, clean title, and no modifications done whatsoever.

I got it for $6700.

The modifications I have planned:

1.) H&R Sport Lowering Springs (1.75 drop in the front/1.5 in the rear): http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/H-R-S...Q5fAccessories

2.) Mugen front lip, Type R rear lip, and Type R grill: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/99-00...Q5fAccessories

3.) OEM style wing (It currently has the 96-98 low wing): http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/96-00-Honda-Civic-SI-2-dr-OEM-Style-Spoiler-Wing-PRIMER-/180691693944?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories &fits=Year%3A1999|Model%3ACivic|Submodel%3ASi&hash =item2a12107178

Then I want to paint the whole thing Flamenco Black Pearl. I don't plan on changing the rims out.

Any input on other appearance mods? I also want a catback, not sure which one, looking for something under $300.

Lemme know if you guys want more pics and of what.

ALL ADVICE APPRECIATED! LET ME KNOW WHAT I CAN DO TO MAKE IT FASTER AND LOOK BETTER WITHOUT TURNING IT INTO A RICE ROCKET!

Sweet. Another EM1 member. Haha. I think the color looks great, personally, but it's your ride. Black for the EM1 though seems to be the best as it makes you stick out less. Blue is the best color though. It looks gorgeous. You can get a decent sized exhaust which won't sound like a weedwhacker. I still need to buy my WS2. Look it up on youtube. It isn't too large and the noise isn't offensive.
Honestly, I think you would be better off with suspension upgrades more than anything. But still, if you want power, you've chosen a pretty good car. Headers, exhaust, cams and forced induction are the obvious routes. I don't know anything about that stuff as I'm still learning the ins and outs. There are a few members here who have a few DIYs and FAQs about the stuff you've got questions for. They frequent the site pretty often, but when in doubt, use the search function .

Do you guys think the H&R Sports will give a decent enough drop? I want little to no gap and improved handling without busting the Mugen replica lip. I heard the Mugen sits lower than a Type R lip.

Maybe I should go for the H&R Race Springs? Gives over a 2" drop?
