Clear headlights
I was just wondering if it was legal to have clear headlights ? If not, would it be legal if I just had the cover for the head light clear but have a different colour lightbulb ? This is in Ontario Canada. If anyone could answer my question, it would be greatly appreciated, thank.

a lot of places they are illegal a lot of places they arent illegal just depends on where u live guy. but i doubt the cop is gonna give a **** if your headlights are white or blue.
There are a few factors at play as to whether or not it would be legal to do this:
1. No more yellow parking lights (unless you get 7443 yellow bulbs). This is not an issue in most US states, dunno about canada
2. No yellow turn signal (unless you get 7443 or 7440 yellow bulbs). This may be a problem, but bulbs are cheap
and the big problem:
3. No yellow reflector on the side. In Michigan, for example, you must have a yellow reflector on the side of your car in the front and a red reflector on the side of your car in the rear. If you clear your headlights, you will still have the reflector, it will just be white, not yellow. (has anyone cut their yellow piece so the turn signal is cleared but the reflector is still yellow?)
Look up specific laws about these and you'll be fine.
(BTW, sorry if I mixed up 7443 and 7440, I forgot which is which)

you can get the amber bulb for your parking light/turn signal at pepboys. they are made by apc and they are in the performance parts section NOT the regular light bulb section.
2k2civicballer... thats what i did too!! hell yeah!
but, i didn't use my trusty 'ol sharpies -- i thought the orange sharpie would look too "red", so i used a fluorescent orange marks-a-lot... which has faded to faint yellow in 10 days!
i'll have to check out the LED lights.. sounds pretty kewl -- the tail turn signals are the same bulb, right? a few months ago i was playin around with some lighting stuff and found that yellow/orange LEDs' color is so intense that a red filter has almost no effect -- in other words, if you put the yellow LED bulb in the tail blinker, it would blink orange -- even with the red plastic housing. damn im a geek... im hella excited about this! Bah... I have hyperwhite signals and parking bulbs... they look much better than stock.
Getting a different colored signal bulb that's white to Amber is fine, though. I guess if it's orange, it's better... but since hyperwhite is a blueish white, I guess I haven't had much problem with it. I would just hate for there to be orange there cuz it would still look stock at night but to his their own.

Yeah I see no point in putting orange in there since you cleared to get rid of the ugly orange on the headlight. But its your ride. I have PIAA Xtreme all around in the headlight it looks sweet, had issues with the Wedge Xtreme blowing out under 2 mths but besides that there all right. I have never heard of anyone getting pulled over for having cleared headlights here, my sister has the 95 civic clear corners and there isn't even a clear reflector on the front of the car. No issues either
