please quick answer need, my 02 civic has a small problem , i think? the symptom are: the engine turn off every time i turn the wheels all away to the left or to the right it start going like ,,bu bu bu bu bu buuuu and then just turn off, it happens when i turn the lights on too, it is liquid oil in the back of the motor where the intake filter goes , but i don't have that as factory connection i put a small filter i think u guys know what im talking about.. today i find out that the fuel tank cap was missing so i thought i may be related ,,, if water get in it please help i need to go to work..

Any check engine light in the dashboard? You can go to any autoparts store to read them for free if that is the case.

And just to let you know, this is the forum for 2012 civic, very few have them. 2002 owners does go to 7th gen forums, where other owners of similar cars do check in, but most of them do not come in here because their car is not a 2012...

Erm, It's Ok to post reply here now that it have been posted, no need to ask in my profile messages...
But i would recommend posting it again in the 7th gen forum.

And as i asked before, do you have an orange light like an engine on your dashboard lit on?

Pretty sure a gas cap off or not tightened would make the light come on too... even more if it is missing...

no any check engine light, because i got a cap as soon i find out it was missing, the biggest problem with it is that it turn off and the power feel low, + stupid sound came out of the muffler. anyway how can i post my question on 7th

I'm trying to think how of how turning the wheel could cause a stall. I suspect it happens whether the car is moving or not, correct?

Okay.

The car stalls if you turn the wheel or turn on the lights, that's when the power steering pump and alternator are drawing more power from the engine and for some reason it's not compensating for the added draw. Does it stall if you turn the AC on as well?

yes it happen every time i turn the ac too but the car only turn off when i turn the wheel, and locks like it lost power when i turn the ac,light or any other power option as the power windows ... what do you think should i do? or is wrong?

It sounds like a sensor isn't sending the signal to the ECU when the engine is under load.

Even though you don't have a check engine light, there might be a stored code, if you are able to take the car to a parts store and they should be able to tell you what the codes are. The code will tell you exactly what sensor is the problem. I'm thinking its the throttle position sensor..

But a bad belt wouldn't cause the engine to totally stall.. it would just squeal and be annoying as ****.

i ll check the TPS because thats the closer answer to my question , but what about if it is not the problem ill have to go one by one buying and changin sensor, as TPS,alt or ps pump. it is not the belt i check the generator and its working normal, i also scaner the car lucking for any check ingene light that may no show on the dash but it doens found nothing .... and i used two deffernt scaner just on case but nothing found, and all pass. hooo i forgot to told you one more detail about it, i just change that catalityc convertever because it was already foc..., but idont thing i cause any problem or maybe ?

When you changed the cat, did you change the 02 sensor as well?

no because it was brand new. it both sensor have been on the car just for 3 weeks. one more thing i want to add is that the car turn off when i turn the wheel all away to one side can be the right or left but i just find out the it only happens when (the car is hot. it mean that this morning i didnt have the problem while the car were still cold).. what u think? is there's something u want to know about the car sympton let me know

Ouch! Sorry, bro. Check local CL for a used one. If not, I Have 2 people here local that are selling their exhaust after putting on turbos. Both are selling for $75 and shipping will probably cost at least $25 but, that's better than $500 for a new cat.
