Hi...newbie here. My son gave me his '99 Honda Civic EX and I am trying to referb it a bit. The black paint on the wiper arms and outside bottom of the window trim has worn off showing metal. What is the best way to repaint them so the look good again??? Many thanks all!

Sand it down to metal, then primer, then black (or whatever color you want), then clear. Just use spray paint. Get some decent stuff or you'll be doing this again in a year.

If you're gonna take off the wiper arms I would try to mark 'em so you know which tooth they go in. If you're off by 1 tooth the wipers won't swing right. If you don't, make sure to mask all the pieces that might accidently get sanded or painted. I wouldn't pull the door trim, I would just sand and paint 'em in place. Again, making sure to mask any parts not to be sanded or painted.

Site search. Sometimes I'll use google if the site search doesn't work. Didn't search this one tho, just went on know-how. Didn't even know there was a DIY. lol

I find the google site search picks up on multiple keywords better.
