Its all about budget and goals.
Are you looking for a moderately comfortable ride for under $1000 or a race tuned ride that will rattle your teeth and your willing to spend $2000.

^ yup. plus the obvious that one you can adjust the height.
springs will require adequate dampers for them, answers vary.
install should be quite similar except for adjusting the height, although coils will usually come assembled.

Lright well lets say on a budget I mean yea its always nice to have a budget to do waht ya want with but we'll say budget build under a 1000 I've read alot about teckio's (spelling) hp blues but Im looing for best looking drop with the best possible ride quality
Re: coil vs strut opinions
^Good depends on how he uses them. If he just wants an adjustable drop, comfortable ride and isn't planning to track his car, there is nothing wrong with Raceland or Rokkor coil overs. i don't track and have Rokkors. They're great for DD and only cost 349 shipped. I would never track them though.

Re: coil vs strut opinions
I was more thinking on the "best possible ride quality", actually. and that would rule out the springs as well.
I guess i heard that the RL and RK was not that bad for ride, come to think of it.
thanks for the correction.
Now, to OP, lift the car beforehand and check the compliance bushings to see if they are tore.
Also, have the strut mounts ready - they are most likely to make noise after install. If tie-rods can be moved by hand, change them too.
You still need to save for these items. they are likely to cause trouble not long after the install, so better do all the job at once and save money/time by doing alignment just once

I would just get tokicos and springs or save a bit longer and get Megan coilovers.
Tie rod sheared off a raceland coilover, if that happened while driving you would lose the ability to steer.

Re: coil vs strut opinions
hun, i gave another search on RL and RK's - actually the ones that know better, feels them bad. found another 4 that did break or fell apart - not sure if the one that fell apart was product or install, though.

Anyways, ride quality depends on the driver and how hard is your butt. I do think of my eibach pro good with the AGX's (thump, thump in bumps
). and they provide good performance for the price when paired correctly with sways and camber kits.
can't say about other setups - this and stock are the only ones i know daily.

Re: coil vs strut opinions
I'll add that I would never put raceland or rokkor coilovers on my car or even ride in a car that had them, not only is the ride terrible, but the quality is so low I would call them dangerous. They aren't like a $30 DDM HID kit that fails and its a bit dark in front of your car, if they fail you do severe damage to your car guaranteed. There's a reason why every other brand of coilovers starts at $900 and quality ones are easily $1500.
