Suspension Replacement
So I'm guessing I'm due for a suspension replacement soon here. I have an 01' EX with 123k miles on it. Would it be wise to stick with factory components for a replacement or going aftermarket for longevity? I would be replacing the shocks and springs. Also, is there anything else that I would need to replace since I'm already down there?

Re: Suspension Replacement
Whether you have anything else you need to replace is difficult to say, you may need to replace your:
Ball joints,
Tie rod ends,
LCA bushings,
Strut mounts.
Kyb Gr-2 struts are an OEM replacement and have the comfortable ride your accustomed to, but if you want something that will last years and don't mind a stiff ride then look into tokico hp shocks and struts. The OEM springs have a tendency to sag, but should last you many years regardless; again, if you don't mind a stiff ride you could go with tein h.tech or eibach sportlines that will last longer but have a somewhat stiff ride.

Re: Suspension Replacement
Inspect it before replacing everything. My '05 EX has 132 and i just replaced ball joints LCA bushing and rear shocks. Everything else was fine and that was the first time I had any suspension work done.
The rest may go shortly after but who knows. My approach is, if it ain't broke don't fix it.
I think springs are a lifetime part unless they are damaged for some reason.

Re: Suspension Replacement
I thought the Tokico shocks aren't that great because they leak after a while. Would it be worth it to get a tein coilover set or anything like that instead of getting factory replacements?

Re: Suspension Replacement
Buddy Club, Tein, Progress or a G/C koni combo are all worthwhile if you can afford them and are willing to sacrifice comfort for performance.

Re: Suspension Replacement
Tokico struts have a lifetime warranty if they're installed correctly and not used with lowering springs lower than 1.8 inches.
