Help me swap questions.

New to hondas and need lots of information.

Got a 99 ex. Has d16y8 and parts are pretty hard to find from what im seeing. So I would like to build a b20 with gsr head.

What all parts would i need to do this swap? And about how much am i looking at in cost if i do all the work myself?

Thanks all links to the parts would be nice..

P.S. about how much would my engine fetch if i sold it to recoup cost of swap?

Thanks all,

Shadow

Re: Help me swap questions.

If you want a straight forward swap with all the bolt ons you could every want available then stick with a b18 or b16 engine, your going to have a hell of a time getting that wired and running well.

FYI, I have friends running over 500 on D16y8s, its an excellent engine.

Re: Help me swap questions.

You can very easily reach 225-300hp with a d16y8 and turbo set-up.

You wouldn't even need to touch the internals to get to around 250hp, a good turbo set-up with 550cc injectors and hondata would be sufficient. You could probably get it done for the $4-5k range..
