hello boys n girls.
i just finished it....so ill share it. there are some other DIY on here so there is no need to make another one.
it is literally a plug and play projector
this retrofit took me about 2hrs (from baking it open to sealing it shut)....yes thats right TWO HOURS total for both headlights.

rear of the projector when everything is plugged in.

i used an E46 shroud instead of the one provided. i like the E46 look better.

suran wrapped it so dust wont get it while i cleaned the housing

reheat it in the oven and put the lens back in. take it up shut n leave it for 24hrs

new retrofit on the left, old temporary retrofit on the right

on the car. sorry it was raining outside

Re: Morimito H1 HID RETROFIT
my thoughts bout these projector:
if you are an experience retrofitter and have experienced a variety of projectors like the: TSX, TL, e46, FX, LS, IS or s2k projectors (ive done retros on all these), then you will be disappointed with these. especially if you are aiming for the BRIGHTEST output possible.
the output is decent. if on a scale, TL projectors would score a 9. stock headlights would score a 4. the morimito H1 will score a 7.
ok, let me set something straight. these morimito projectors are WAYYYYYYYYYYY better than stock halogen or HIDs in stock reflector. WAYY BETTER. NO COMPARISON. PERIOD.
with that said, what good are these projectors?
1. they are SUPER AND HELLA easy to install. and for a beginner, that new retrofiter, that should be the selling point. cannot go wrong.
2. you dont have to calibrate strightness of the cut off lines. everything is pre-done. ur retrofit cut off line will look as good or almost as good at stock. they're not crooked.
3. damnnnn good output compared to stock. more than you'll every need (people like me excluded who have experienced such projectors like the TL or s2k...but those are 2x-3x more expensive.)
4. cheap (price wise). they are 120+shipping. shipping was like 8 dollars and they came within 3 days. good shipping time.

5. fast turn around time. i finished in 2hrs. i understand most people arnt experienced as i am, but i could imagine these taking no longer than 4-6hrs to finish from start to finish.
6. bi-xenon. yes they are. the highbeam is one of the best ive seen. good amount of light throw.
7. very very small foam factor. they are also super light so the stock reflector will hold them easily.
personal conclusion:
this is my .02 remember. the output isnt good enough for me. i have these on 4300k morimito H1 bulbs with a 50w ballast. not bright enough. am i a lil crazy? yes. im ultra **** about my headlights.
i will be doing another retro will probably a TL projectors.
overall, i give this projector a 8/10. (remember its overall with all factors taking into consideration)

Re: Morimito H1 HID RETROFIT
TRS now has adapter plates for 9006 as well. so you should be fine. the mini h1 projector is very decent, way better than lower grade oems like bosch, valeo, hella, etc. the only projectors that are a bit brighter would be the top dogs like s2k, TL, sc430. but i guess it depends on the person. my dim valeos which are barely brighter than halogen are plenty bright for me. i had 50w e46 and it was just insane to drive with. too much light.
