Smile 2005 auto 4 door civic hi/low beam bulbs replacement

i am super stumped with trying to replace my hi/ and low bulbs. i tried everything the manual says but cant get past moving the steering fluid and pushing the battery back maybe an inch after loosening that screw, i then tried sqeezing the tab thingy and pushing the electrical connector downward at same time wont budge. tried squeezing and pushin it left and right no luck,
went to the dealer ND THEYtryin charge +20 bucks to do this jus gettin frustrated i know there is a guide out there but most of them arent completely step by step. most ive read miss out a step like the first part/ thing i nned to do is....then each step after wards. with pics if possible. ive seen a video but its not of the 05 civic was a diff year and the hood and arrangement of all the components were really diff from mines so no help there.
n e help would be appreciated.

pull the reservoir thing straight up, then situate it out of the way. That's how I do it in my 02. The engine bay layout is the same, only difference is a facelift of exterior components.. and a few other non-related items

well if you can't do it you could take off the front end and unbolt the actual lamps themselfs, then replace the lightbulbs.

i'm guessing you won't want to go this far. it is really easy to do but will probably take you .5 to 1 hour to do the first time (including reinstalling)

anyway i just posted this for a different question so here's how to do it if you want.

ps; this is for my 2002 but it should be almost the same, if not the same.

1. first there is one screw under each of your front wheel wells. this are located at the top of the well arch (a bit closer to the front of the car, not quite top dead center). remove these.

2. next pop your hood. on th plastic piece with your front honda logo on it there are four bolt clip things. pop these out.

3.remove four more of the same clips from under the front end.

4. now every screw and bolt should be out. gentally hold onto the wheel well plastic on one side of your car and pull this out (this is right by where you unscrew the screws). do this to both sides.

5. next grab under one of your headlights and again pull out wards towards yourself. do this under each headlight.

6. with both hands pull up and out, with your hands on the radiator vent whole. the front end should come off easily.

after the front is off, to get the lamp out, for each lamp

unbolt the top bolt and unscrew the top screw (these are if you are looking down on the lamp in a normal standing position).

next there is a bolt under the lamp that needs to be unbolted, you'll probably need a 6in extension on your ratchet to reach this bolt.

and finally there is a bolt on the side of the lamp that needs to be unbolted.
