2005 ex stuck in park and won't start??

New to forum guys!

My 2005 Civic EX is stuck in park and will not start. It does crank over. The immobilizer light is not on, and the brake lgiht work. My girl parked it the other night and then in the morning it would not start. All fuses check ok. Any ideas???

Sorry, kinda obvious, but some people space out sometimes, then they go "DOH!"

I call shenanigans. You only have to step on the brake pedal to change gears. The OP said it cranked, if your not it P or N it won't even crank.

On the 7th gens system you SHOULD be seeing the green imobilizer light flashing (just not rapid flash)

that's what i meant, he OP said "its stuck on park"
so im assuming that he cant change gears

make sure that the battery isn't dead. I left the dome light on one night and killed the battery. Without that, the gear selector won't move... (just in case you forgot to mention that your g/f left the lights on)
