Unhappy I am so worried.

my car, 1997 civic, has 240,000miles but it was running great.

The problem happened 2 weeks ago.
First, when I started the car, there was a jarring sound.
it was the alternator. I kept running the car.
The car ran for a while(1week) and a/c belt was gone when I was just idling.
after 3days, battery went out. so I jumped, took it to a mechanic.

On the way to go, the car turned off.
I fixed main things as ECU, Alternator, Timing belt, battery. cost me $1000.
and when I start it, I can hear huge sound from the a/c compressor.
Also door lock broke, so I checked fuse box. and the door lock fuse kept blowing fuses! I tried 3~4times but all the same.
After this happened, window is not working now. it was working before.

I am now so afraid that there is some short but I don't know where it is.
where should I check? or how should I?

The reason I bought the civic was it's cheap and though it would last long.
I wanna figure it out by myself cause no more money.

can anyone help me ? I am so depressed. couldn't work for a while.

Re: I am so worried.

take it back to the shop that did the work, they should look at it for free since they just did the repairs on it. maybe they did not ground the alternator or tighten the belts properly.

Re: I am so worried.

Im having the same problem,97 civic ex, once you dump money into your car it turns around and takes a huge **** on you....
I hate to say it but our cars are getting older and despite the fact that its a honda and jesus drives hondas they will get old and need alot more tlc, sometimes more than they are worth and its time to leave the 6th gen group buck up and join that 7th or 8th gen group....
