Re: Amp Install With Stock HU and Aftermarket Speakers
i dont know too much about audio setups but i would recommend alpine spr-69c for your 6x9s. i got a pair from sonicelectronix for about 100 and they sound amazing. just my 2 cents
Re: Amp Install With Stock HU and Aftermarket Speakers
I hate to say this, you might want to change out the stock head unit. You are investing the quality speakers and amp, the LOC will only output like .5 volts. Also, if you insist on keeping the stock head, then go with a 4 channel amp. I recommend the Alpine mrp-f 300, like 50 x 4. good amp for the money.

yea most of the people i asked recommended me to switch off the head unit which i decided to do it, ima go for a kenwood and thanks for the suggestion looks like a good amp
Re: Amp Install With Stock HU and Aftermarket Speakers
ok i have a 00 civic si
first off stock hu
toss that out or put it away
sound quality from that thing just suck.
i got kenwood 5 way 6x9 for the back and
6.5 inch shallow mount kenwood in the front
all join up with a pyramid amp pushing out 25 watts rms per channel
to 4 speakers hook up to pioneer double din avic d3
and already i get good sound
watch out for the front speaker the back of the speaker stretch out too far and it wont fit u have to cut the cup, i did that with mines when i had components and i regret it ,
when it rains the water drips down whenever u open the window , the speaker
now i see a whole mess of rust on the magnet
and if u go with shallow mount speaker then it will fit perfectly without no mods let the back speaker do all the bass and the front with the high and mids
