2010 Sedan Cold Start CLACK

My 2010 sedan w/manual tranny makes a light clack/clunk when starting off either completely cold or after sitting, engine off, for 30 minutes or longer. The sound appears to be coming from the front wheels, probably the right. It happens whether I'm engaging the clutch or coasting with the clutch pedal depressed, moving forward or back. It's audible but not ominous-sounding, and never happens a second time during the same trip, regardless of length or type of driving. Mechs at dealership thought they may have heard it, or not, and say it's probably the drive engaging the front wheels. Does this make sense, or does anyone have a different idea? The car is 3 weeks old, now has 2K miles on it, and has made the noise either from the very beginning, or within the first 50 miles. I honestly don't recall having heard it at test drive time, seems like I would've mentioned it. Everything else about the car seems fine, except possibly some very mild occasional engine stutter, which I'm trying to decide what I'm to think of, at this point. Thoughts?

Interesting. Over 80 views, and not one comment. In any case, I had the car back at the dealership this morning, where we did some further investigating, namely by me and a mechanic climbing into a different, cold, same-model Civic on their lot and hearing it make the same noise, which this guy immediately recognized as the ABS doing a self-test. It's apparently normal, "expected behavior" and well-known to Honda. I think the first time I was there, with my own car, the two guys who "listened" to it just didn't hear it (I wasn't with them), because the car wasn't cold enough. Problem solved, and documented in case of later recall.

It is the calipers adjusting themselves.

Completely normal. All cars do it.

My thoughts are a brake pad moving forward slightly, my 05 did this at times. Always just a single click. They made kits for some Hondas for this issue but not the 7th gens I was told. Can't say on an 8th gen.
