alright! i've been having some issues with my 02 civic lately. i just had to unclog my catalitic converter and now my engine light is constantly on and it seems like every day now that at some point while i'm driving my car starts to sputter and starts slowing down, loses power and then dies. it won't crank right up but if i let it sit for about 5 minutes it will crank but it won't drive over 25mph.
now if i let it sit overnight, i can just crank it and it will drive no problem, until it decides to be awesome and not work. so does this sound like maybe i need a new fuel pump or filter, or is this some other issue?!

well my dad did it for me. he took the two spring bolts off the exhaust pipe and cleared out the platinum honeycomb stuff, or whatever.

could be the check engine light is for the oxygen sensor in the cat, its reading a malfunction and the engine could be in safe mode. have the engine coded rear first before doing anything. i bet one is for secondary 02 sensor.
