ive tried searching the forums but the search feature seems to be down yet again. just wondering if anyone knows how to change the lights out that light up the climate control on a 97 civic

you have to remove the whole middle console and then the climate controls have twist bulbs in the back. you can buy the naked bulbs at the store and wrap them onto the original base, or buy the whole bulb and base from honda. btw for the search function, be sure you are searching "titles only" instead of "entire posts" which will take forever to search millions of posts.

so they're not like 194 bulbs that just slide into a socket that twists in the back? if not could you explain wrapping the bulb in the socket?

well its a smaller bulb with wires sticking out, you have to wrap them around the bulb holder. they are still the twist and remove base, but you gotta dismantle the bulb by unwrapping the wires around the two sides and then install the new bulb the same way. youll see once its taken apart and then you can compare the bulb to find the right one at the store.
