obd 1 engine into obd2 car
hello... i have a 97 civic and it has an obd1 engine in it.... dont ask... anyhow i keep gettin the csf sensor no signal code coming up and i think it is because the obd 1 engine doesnt have it???? does anyone know how i could bypass this or something to get the check engine light off???
Re: obd 1 engine into obd2 car
anyone???? it also just started idling like crazy and threw a p1337 code which i believe to be the idle air control?? anyone know what to look for or do i just replace the sensor?
Re: obd 1 engine into obd2 car
P1337 is NOT the IACV.
Google it, man!
Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) P1337: No signal in the Crankshaft Speed Fluctuation (CKF) sensor circuit.
Description
The diagnostic system has a pulser rotor on the crankshaft and a pulse pick-up sensor on the engine block. The ECM/PCM monitors the crankshaft speed fluctuation based on the CKF sensor signal, and judges that an engine misfire occurred if the fluctuation goes beyond a predetermined limit.
OK, I took 3 seconds and googled "CKP bypass trick". Here's your link:
