clancking on passanger front end

I had a real bad clanking sound, when i cranked the car, shut the car off, and going through 1st and 2nd. Someone told me that i was the tranny mount. So i changed it. well the clanking is gone when you start it and cut it off. It only does it now ever so often going from 1st to 2nd. I just got all new tires and they said everything axels, struts, etc were fine. Could it be the back motor mount or were the mount went bad is it the exahust rubbing or what cant figure it out plez help?

Re: clancking on passanger front end

Putting a question mark at the end of a random mess of incoherent typing doesn't turn it into a question. Can you use a bit more punctuation so I can figure out what it is you're trying to say?

Re: clancking on passanger front end

Maybe its the motor mounts.. have you kept up with service on the car and not abused it? Has it been in any accidents?? ...its hard to tell from your description.. if it happens when you shift then its the motor mounts because the whole engine moves forward with in neutral and then jerks back when in gear and accelerating. I believe there is three motor mounts (double check). If they look torn or cracked they need to be replaced.
