headlights not aligned?
put HIDs in this weekend. took it out at night and somthings off i am guessing. my left side seems to shine normal height but the right side seems to shine lower towards the ground. both headlights are mounted up correctly and i took everything appart 2 times to check.
any ideas? it bugging the heck outta me. if i crawl up somones bumper only the left shines on the persones bumper in front of me and the right is def shining a good counpleof inches lower. my bumper lines up correctly also...im so confused.
.....???????

Re: headlights not aligned?
well anytime you change the bulbs, you can lose alignment. park next to a white wall about 25 ft away and adjust them. theres a gear in the back you can turn with philips screwdriver to move them up and down.

Re: headlights not aligned?
if its stock oem lights, it is easy to do, but if they are aftermarket projector, you have to remove them to reach the bolt in the back.

Re: headlights not aligned?
they are aftermarket stock looking lights. blacked out jdm ones but look 100% oem
do i need to remove bumper and grill and lights to find this screw? i got my OEM lights at my house yet so maybe i can find it on there, where ever its located.

Re: headlights not aligned?
no. just look above the headlight and you will see the gear. there is a hole in the frame i think to stick the screwdriver to reach it. you cant miss it if you look down in the back of the light.

Re: headlights not aligned?
got them lined up verticaly....but they seem a tad bit off to the right both of them. is there somthing to line them up horizontaly?
Re: headlights not aligned?
You don't want to line them up horizontally, cars in North America have their headlights tilted that way to stay out of other drivers' eyes. If you've ever seen a JDM car (piles and piles of them here), you'll notice they have theirs tilted to the left and blind everyone in the oncoming lane.
