Battery Light Flickering?
Battery Light Flickering?
Hi. I have a 02 civic. I just had the head gasket, timing belt, water pump, radiator, and power steering belt replaced. It is at about 115k miles. Yesterday, while driving my car I noticed that the battery indicator on my dashboard was faintly flashing very fast. If I went really fast around 75/80mph it stopped. Any idea what this could be?

problem with the charging system. either your alternator belt is loose, your battery terminal connections are loose, or your alternator is dying.

Finally the battery light would come on and eventually after getting a jump from AAA, all the gauges turned off, the radio shut down and my headlights turned off. Towed it home and now it sits. Gonna test the alternator, thankfully a lifetime warranty one, battery has a warranty too. Must've been a bad alt, cuz I just replaced it January of 08.
