Torque steer.

Popped in some stock all season tires that came w/ the car. Noticed some alignment issues + some bad torque steer. I brought it to my mechanic, and found that the passenger side strut wasn't bolted down enough, allowing some play around the knuckle/spindle and the strut. So he fixed that up, did an alignment, and got two new tires which went on the rear steelies. They got rotated to the front, and the original front tires went to the back. Torque steer didn't go away.

My issue here is that when I had my 17's on, I didn't have this problem after an alignment, but once I put the all seasons on, boom, there goes the torque steer.

Gonna try to flip the two front tires, seeing if it will torque steer the other way. I hear sometimes torque steer is affected by unequal driveshaft lengths, and my driveshaft was replaced a couple of months ago, but I discarded that theory because I didn't feel the torque steer with my 17's on.

Just wanted to know if anyone else has experienced this problem?

Re: Torque steer.

Perhaps you didn't feel the torque steer with 17's because they were so heavy that the car didn't have enough power to steer them, but with the increase in power to the ground you just gained by switching to stock tires and wheels the torque steer is much more pronounced?
