i have a 2002 lx honda civic.. i has 117 K and when i try to warm it up in the mornings it acts like it wanats to go off on me. it cranks up good but once i let it rest for like two minutes it idles n even if i hit the gas it wont move at all. This happens in the morning when the car is cold and also i have noticed that it does it at any time when it is raining so idk wat could be the problem.

Run an ODB scanner on it. I'm thiking one of your sensors might be about to die.

my car does somewhat the same thing. when i start it up, it will run 1.5k strong. then when i drive it around and stop at a light it will idle real low. the lowest its gone is 100rpm. it will shutter and shake like its ganna stall, but it never has. same thing happend t my bros pontiac sunfire. all we did was change his coolent temp. sensor and the problem was fixed. i havent gotten around to doing it to my car yet, but im lazy =P

i have taken it... and they told me that one of my o2 sensors was malfunctioning however i took it to the mechanic and he told me that that couldnt be the problem i dont know if i should belive him or not

if its the same thing my bro had, its will be like a 5 minute fix. only $20 for the sensor too.

Check your air filter and throttle make sure that neither are too clogged up. Often leads to ruff idling.

everything in my engine bay is clean, so i know it neither of those. i do have a bent intake valve tho. but im upgrading everything in the head when i get my bike so im not worried about that.
