Drl Amber Warning On Honda Civic 2002 LX 1.7l

HONDA CIVIC 2002 LX 1.7L (CANADIAN MODEL)

The DRL Amber Warning Light "On" And the Daytime Lights Do Not Come On. I Hear NO Clicking Noises. I Took Out The DRL Module, Pulled Out The PCB, Inspected For Loose Solder Joints. Found Some Suspected Faults So I Reflowed All Solder Joints. Connected DRL Module Back To The Car, Started The Car And No Joy! DRL Amber Light Still On And Still No Daytime Lights. DRL Fuses Are All Good. What's Next? Is There A DRL Control Relay On My Model? Another Thought, Parking Brake Does Control The DRL's And Turns Them On When Realesed. I'm Thinking, Perhaps The Parking Brake Sensors Are Dirty Or Defective? Please Help With This Troubleshooting Saga. [/SIZE][/B]

If your brake light comes on when pulling up the parking brake the switch is o.k.

Is the amber light normally on ?? ( I don't have DRLs)

Do the high and low beams work o.k. ??

Brake light come on when applied and off when released. According to the Manual, the Amber DRL comes on only when there is a fault in the Daytime Running lights system. Low beams work OK. High Beams, only the right come on. This is normal when the DRL warning light is ON. Once the DRL System is fixed all High Beams work normally.

If one of the high beam bulbs is out... maybe... that is the fault it is detecting ?? I would think if the high beam bulbs are o.k. they would both come on with regular headlights mode.

did you check fuse? are the bulbs actually in good shape? usually when something actually fails with the module, the warning light never comes on. so it tells me its something small like blown bulb or something. im pretty sure if one bulb is blown, the other side doesnt come on. in DRL mode, your bulbs are connected in series and you can either have both on or none on. like those pesky christmas lights where if one bulb in the chain dies, nothing else works.

Fuses are all ok. But Both Lights come on on Normal Headlight mode (Non-High Beam Mode) Are the bulbs double filaments? One for Low and one for High? I still get the DRL Amber Warning Message.
